Position Overview
FedEx Express is hiring Safety Managers to lead comprehensive workplace safety programs at hub, station, and ramp facilities. You will develop safety policies, investigate serious incidents, manage workers compensation programs, conduct regulatory compliance audits, and build a safety culture across a multi-hundred person workforce. This is a senior professional role reporting to district or regional safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and administer facility safety programs covering ramp operations, sort handling, courier driving, and maintenance shop hazards.
- Investigate serious workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, and ground damage incidents conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage OSHA recordkeeping, workers compensation claims coordination, and return-to-work programs for injured employees.
- Conduct quarterly safety audits measuring facility compliance with OSHA, FAA ground safety, and FedEx Express internal standards.
- Design and deliver safety training curriculum for new hire orientation, annual refresher courses, and incident-specific response training.
