Position Overview

Starting on the dock floor alongside experienced workers, you will progress from basic freight handling into forklift operation and independent zone assignments within your first months on the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Begin with supervised freight handling — learning to move, sort, and stage palletized commercial shipments safely.
- Progress into powered equipment training including sit-down forklift and electric pallet jack certification.
- Learn to read Bills of Lading, identify destination codes, and sort freight into correct outbound dock lanes.
- Practice proper freight stacking, bracing, and trailer loading techniques under trainer guidance.
- Advance toward independent dock assignments as skill proficiency and safety standards are consistently demonstrated.
Qualifications & Benefits
Must be 18+ years of age. Absolutely no prior work experience, certifications, or education beyond high school required. Must be physically capable of lifting 75 lbs and working in a dock environment for the full shift.
