Position Overview
FedEx Freight is hiring Multi-Stop Route Drivers with a Class A CDL for extended commercial delivery and pickup routes covering a 150-to-350 mile operating radius. You will service accounts across multiple counties or adjacent metro areas in a single operating day, returning to the home service center each evening. Routes are assigned through a seniority-based bid system.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover an extended daily route with 8–18 commercial stops spread across a multi-county or multi-metro territory.
- Manage appointment-based deliveries and pickups at facilities with strict receiving windows and dock scheduling.
- Plan efficient stop sequences to minimize deadhead miles while maintaining all scheduled delivery commitments.
- Secure mixed freight loads using load bars, straps, and decking to prevent shifting across extended driving segments.
- Complete all manifests, BOLs, and delivery documentation accurately across a high stop-count route.
Qualifications & Benefits
Must be 21+ with a valid Class A CDL and minimum 12 months commercial driving experience. Hazmat endorsement preferred for routes servicing chemical and industrial accounts. Clean MVR and CSA record required.
